According to our experts, your “About Us” page is one of the most visited pages on your web site and probably the most underutilized.

One of the first things I do when I visit a new website is check out the “About Us” page.  As an entrepreneur and business owner, I simply love hearing other peoples’ stories.  However, I have to admit that many of the “About Us” pages I’ve visited have been lackluster.  People just don’t put much thought into how they tell their story — filling up the page with statistical information or barely making the effort to connect to their audience.
Besides the fact that it’s INTERESTING to learn where businesses start from, the “About Us” page is a fantastic chance to connect with your target audience.  It’s your chance to show you’re human.  It’s pretty much common knowledge that people buy from an emotional connection, but many B2B’s have trouble connecting on an emotional level.  That’s where your “About Us” page comes in — where you have a chance to differentiate yourself from the competition.
After all, no one can compete with a good story!
